Let us help you explore a special weekend in the Catskill Mountains.

Our most popular adventure is fly fishing the famous Esopus Creek. We have many years of experience working with novice fly fishers.

Your hosts from Ashokan Dreams B&B and Ashokan Adventures will share their experiences with you to create an extraordinary weekend in the heart of the Catskill Forest Preserve.

The Catskill Mountains have a magical quality about them. Famous for their historic resorts and music and arts festivals, there is also an exciting emergence of new local breweries, distilleries and eateries transforming our mountain communities.

The Catskills’ pristine waterways are also the birthplace of American fly fishing and source of drinking water for New York City.

The Catskills offer the ideal classroom for a beginner fly fisherman to learn the practical skills to enjoy the sport.  

Master Guides will teach you those skills and introduce you to the charms of our Catskill trout waters. We can guide you to the famous pools and runs you have always read about, and help you experience fishing for wild trout.

Your lodging will be provided by Ashokan Dreams, an historic B&B with the best views in the Catskills.

Guiding Rates:
Half Day (4 Hours)

• One person: $300
• Two people: $400
• Three people: $550
• Four people: $700

Full Day (8 Hours)

• One person: $450
• Two people: $650
• Three people: $800
• Four people: $950

For three or more people we may have an additional guide if appropriate. 

Full day Boot/Wader rental – $40 per angler Lunch Available for - $20 per angler

You will also need to procure a NY State fishing license. Day licenses are $5 for residents, $10 for out-of-state. Licenses may be purchased online.  

Our guides will provide local spring water, snacks, leader, tippet, and a selection of flies to help you match the hatch. 

There is also the opportunity to fish on New York City Watershed lands with a special permit. We recommend that you contact us so that we can learn more about you and the experience you are seeking here in the Catskill Mountains!
